Terms of use

Last updated: 24 October 2026. These terms apply to the Shopkobel app and to our server for shared lists in real time. The provider is Marco Desiderio (see the legal notice).

1. What Shopkobel offers

• The app is free and has no ads. Free of charge are typing items, sorting by aisle, 2 lists, shared lists over Wi-Fi with one other device, taking over lists from Cookobel and backups.
• For the first 21 days after the first start, everything is unlocked.
• You buy the full version once. It adds voice input, reading screenshots, any number of lists, up to 4 devices, shared lists in real time on the go, editing on a PC, the learnt order of the shop and all designs. It applies to all devices of your shared lists.
• Without the full version, lists beyond 2 stay saved after the 21 days: you can view them and share them as text; nothing is deleted.

2. Purchases

You buy the full version through Google Play. Seller, payment, invoice, withdrawal and refunds are governed by the terms of Google Play. The full version belongs to the shared lists it was bought for; it cannot be taken to other shared lists. If a purchase is refunded, the full version ends on all devices.

3. Real time via our server

Shared lists sync directly over Wi-Fi, without our server. Only if you switch on “Also in real time on the go” does our server pass changes on – encrypted, it cannot read them (see the privacy policy). This needs an internet connection, our server and Google's check that the app is unmodified and comes from Google Play. We do our best to keep the server available at all times but cannot guarantee it – for example during maintenance or outages. Syncing over Wi-Fi keeps working in that case. Should we ever discontinue real time altogether, we will announce it in the app at least three months in advance; all other features of the full version remain.

4. Sorting and suggestions

Shopkobel sorts items into aisles by itself and suggests spellings; mistakes are possible. For medicines the app only sorts – it gives no information on effects, dosage or interactions. For that, ask a pharmacist or a doctor.

5. Your content

Your lists remain yours. Do not send unlawful content through our server.

6. Misuse

Anyone who modifies the app or deliberately misuses our server, for example to obtain the full version, gets no access to the server; we may also block them.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. In cases of slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an essential obligation on which you are entitled to rely, and then only for foreseeable, typical damage. Your lists are only on your devices. Shopkobel backs them up by itself once a day to the folder “Download/Shopkobel”; for a new device, take the backup with you.

8. Final provisions

For full versions already purchased, what was promised at the time of purchase continues to apply, even if these terms change. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you live remain unaffected.
